Andrew Ross Sorkin, author of Too Big to Fail, tells the story of the 1929 stock market crash, the collapse that ended the boom of the Roaring Twenties and helped bring on the Great Depression. Sorkin follows the bankers, politicians and investors whose choices fed the speculative frenzy, among them Charles Mitchell of National City Bank, Thomas Lamont of J.P. Morgan and Senator Carter Glass. Published in 2025, the book draws on diaries, letters and archives to reconstruct the crash and the reforms that followed.
