A Poem Traveled Down My Arm
By Alice Walker
Categories: Literature & Fiction
Alice Walker's 2003 book combines short poems with her own simple ink drawings. It grew out of the drawings she made while signing copies of her books on tour, and each page pairs a few lines of verse with a small sketch. The poems are playful, spiritual and often only a few words long, touching on love, nature, politics, grief and the joy of creating something new every day.
