AI Superpowers
By Kai-Fu Lee
Categories: Business & Money
Kai-Fu Lee, who led Google China from 2005 to 2009 and then founded the venture firm Sinovation Ventures, argues that China's rapid rise in artificial intelligence was a Sputnik moment for the United States. His 2018 book compares how the two countries build and use AI and describes four waves of the technology. Lee warns that AI will displace many jobs, and drawing on his own experience with cancer, he sets out a blueprint for how people can coexist with intelligent machines.
