All That I Am

All That I Am is Anna Funder's novel about a group of German activists who fled Hitler and kept warning the world from exile in London. Inspired by real people, it is told by Ruth, an elderly woman in Sydney, and by Ernst Toller, the playwright, looking back on 1930s Berlin and London. They recall Dora Fabian, a fearless friend who smuggled documents and fought the Nazis. Funder is also the author of Stasiland.
