Categories: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Apache Devil (1933) is Edgar Rice Burroughs's sequel to The War Chief. Shoz-Dijiji, the white-born warrior who grew up in Geronimo's band, fights settlers and the U.S. Army during the last years of the Apache wars. He comes to love Wichita Billings, a young white woman, though the war between their peoples stands between them. Geronimo's final surrender forms the background to Shoz-Dijiji's own struggle.
