Baseball as a Road to God: Seeing Beyond the Game (2013) is a book by John Sexton, president of New York University from 2002 to 2016, written with Thomas Oliphant and Peter J. Schwartz. It grew out of a course on baseball and religion that Sexton taught at NYU for more than a decade. Using the game's history, rituals and legends, Sexton explores ideas such as faith, doubt, conversion, miracles and sacred time and space. Doris Kearns Goodwin wrote the foreword.
