Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth

Brainwashed (2004) is Ben Shapiro's first book, written while he was an undergraduate at UCLA. Drawing on his own classes and campus experiences, he argues that American universities push students toward left-wing politics. Shapiro points to the political makeup of faculties, course content, speech codes and campus activism, and contends that higher education has abandoned intellectual diversity in favour of ideological conformity, and he calls on students and parents to push back.
