Collected Poems 1934–1952

By Dylan Thomas

Categories: Literature & Fiction

Dylan Thomas assembled this volume himself, describing it as containing "most of the poems I have written, and all, up to the present year, that I wish to preserve." It opens with a verse prologue addressed to "my readers, the strangers," the last poem he completed. The collection traces his work from 18 Poems onward and includes "The force that through the green fuse drives the flower," "And death shall have no dominion," "Fern Hill," plus the villanelle "Do not go gentle into that good night."
