Crazy: Notes On and Off the Couch

Rob Dobrenski, a psychologist who wrote the Shrink Talk blog, gives a candid, often funny account of life as a therapist. Built around a frantic day of sessions, the book moves among a couple in conflict, a convicted rapist, a child afraid of school and Dobrenski's own sessions in therapy. He also describes his path into the profession, the anxieties and self-doubt therapists rarely admit and his obsessive grief over a lost relationship, showing how therapy helped him manage it.

- Ryan Holiday: “I've known Dr. Rob (Shrinktalk.net) for a long time so this is not exactly an unbiased review. I will attempt to balance out my bias by admitting that I don't often read the stuff on his site. It's actually why I think I liked the book so much and why you probably will too.”
