Deep Economy
Categories: Business & Money
Deep Economy: The Wealth of Communities and the Durable Future is a 2007 book by environmentalist Bill McKibben, author of The End of Nature, first published by Times Books. McKibben argues that the pursuit of ever more economic growth no longer makes most people happier and is pushing the planet toward ecological limits. He makes the case for more local economies built around community, local food, and local energy as a more durable path to well-being.
