Dog Songs: Poems

By Mary Oliver

Categories: Literature & Fiction

Mary Oliver gathers thirty-five poems and one prose essay, Dog Talk, about the dogs who shared her walks and her life in Provincetown, among them Percy, Ricky, Benjamin and Bazougey. Playful, tender and grieving by turns, the poems, among them Benjamin, Who Came from Who Knows Where, Ricky Talks About Talking and For I Will Consider My Dog Percy, imagine conversations with dogs and find in their company lessons in attention, loyalty, joy and impermanence.
