Technology journalist Ashlee Vance's 2015 biography follows Elon Musk from his difficult upbringing in South Africa to the companies he built, including PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX and SolarCity. He describes the tumultuous stories of Musk's companies and paints a portrait of a complex, relentlessly driven man who made plenty of enemies along the way.
