Daniel Weir, once the bass player and songwriter of the hugely successful 1970s rock band Frozen Gold, is thirty-one, rich and alone. He lives in St Jute's, a mock church in Glasgow, posing as his own caretaker. Having come close to ending his life, he looks back on growing up in Paisley, the band's rise and the events that broke it apart, and wonders whether he can build a new life, in a darkly comic portrait of fame.
