Fantastic Daisy Artichoke (1999) by Quentin Blake is a rhyming picture book about an unusual friend. Daisy Artichoke has three fat cats to stroke, a pond she likes to soak in and plenty of other habits that set her apart from other folk. In bouncing verse, a group of children describe their visits to her and the many things that make her so unlike everyone else.
