Finale: A Novel of the Reagan Years is a 2015 novel by Thomas Mallon. Set mainly in 1986, around the Reykjavik summit and the start of the Iran-Contra scandal, it portrays Ronald Reagan's second term through the eyes of those around him. Mallon mixes real figures, including Nancy Reagan, Richard Nixon, Christopher Hitchens and Pamela Harriman, with invented characters. The novel offers a satirical and affectionate view of Washington politics, ambition and power in the late Cold War.
