Foundations
By Nate Berkus
Categories: Arts & Photography
Interior designer Nate Berkus sets out what he calls the Four Tenets of Good Design: make it personal, embrace history, build character and develop a vision. He argues that they apply to any home and any budget. The book then puts the tenets into practice room by room, from spaces for living and working to rooms for collections, and closes with a designer's toolbox on proportions and materials. It is illustrated with photographs of his work.
