Green Eggs and Ham
By Dr. Seuss
Categories: Children's Books
Dr. Seuss wrote this 1960 Beginner Book after his publisher, Bennett Cerf, bet him that he could not write a book using only fifty different words. In bouncing rhyme, the persistent Sam-I-Am pursues a grumpy, unnamed character, offering him a plate of green eggs and ham in a house, in a box, with a fox, in a car, on a train, in the rain, with a goat and on a boat, while the refusals grow ever more elaborate.
