Heather has two arms, two legs, two pets and two mommies, Mama Jane and Mama Kate. On her first day at school, her teacher, Ms. Molly, asks the children to draw their families, and every picture is different. Lesléa Newman first published this early picture book about a two-mother family herself in 1989. This 2015 edition has revised text and watercolor illustrations by Laura Cornell, and closes on the message that love matters most in a family.
