Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life--in Judaism (After Finally Choosing to Look There)

By Sarah Hurwitz

Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, Religion & Spirituality

Sarah Hurwitz, a former speechwriter for Barack and Michelle Obama, had all but left Judaism behind when, at thirty-six and after a divorce, she signed up for an introductory class. This book describes what she found as she studied the tradition: its ideas about God, ethics, prayer, the Sabbath, holidays and rituals, written for readers who, like her, had assumed Judaism had little to offer them.
