Short on skips and rent money, Stephanie Plum takes on side jobs for the bounty hunter Ranger in the fifth novel of Janet Evanovich's series. While she watches a crack house, a lowlife blows himself up, and a sheik she is chauffeuring steals the limo. Her mother wants her to find Uncle Fred, who vanished after a dispute with his garbage company, while the violent boxer Benito Ramirez is back and stalking her. Meanwhile, Stephanie is torn between Joe Morelli and Ranger.
