I, Partridge: We Need to Talk About Alan
Categories: Literature & Fiction
I, Partridge: We Need to Talk About Alan is a 2011 comic novel written as the autobiography of Alan Partridge, the broadcaster played by Steve Coogan. It was written by Coogan, Armando Iannucci and Neil and Rob Gibbons and published by HarperCollins. In his own self-important voice, Partridge recounts his childhood in Norwich, his rise and fall at the BBC, and the setbacks of his later radio career. The joke lies in the gap between how he sees himself and what the reader can see.
