Imagining India
Categories: Business & Money
In Imagining India (2008), Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of the technology company Infosys, examines the ideas that have shaped India since independence and the challenges facing its economy and society. Nilekani traces how attitudes to population, entrepreneurship, English, technology and globalisation changed over the decades. He then turns to unresolved questions, including education, labour laws, infrastructure, energy, health and the environment, and argues that India's large young population can be an asset if well governed.
