It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War is a 2015 memoir by Lynsey Addario, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and MacArthur Fellow. She recounts covering conflicts and humanitarian crises in Afghanistan, Iraq, Darfur, Libya and beyond. Addario describes being kidnapped in Iraq and again in Libya, and balancing dangerous assignments with marriage and motherhood. Illustrated with her photographs, the book became a New York Times bestseller and was optioned for a film by Steven Spielberg.
