In Buenos Aires in 1976, just after the military coup, a ten-year-old boy is pulled out of school by his parents, known opponents of the regime, and taken into hiding in a safe house outside the city. Renaming himself Harry after his hero Houdini, he spends the family's exile studying the art of escape. Told by the boy and by the man he becomes, Marcelo Figueras's novel is a story of childhood, memory and loss under Argentina's dictatorship.
