Men in Black
Categories: Literature & Fiction
Men in Black is a 1995 novel by Scott Spencer, author of Endless Love and A Ship Made of Paper. It is a satire of publishing and celebrity. Sam Holland, a struggling literary novelist of forty, writes a quick nonfiction book about UFOs under a pseudonym to pay the bills. When it becomes a bestseller, his secret identity, his marriage, and his affair are threatened, and he is pursued by fans who believe in aliens and by the pressures of sudden fame.
