• Fareed Zakaria: “This week's book of the week is Ari Shavit's "My Promised Land: the Triumph and Tragedy of Israel." It's part memoir, part history, part analysis and a on the whole - the most thoughtful book written about modern day Israel with its triumphs and tragedies.”
