Night of the Living Dummy

In R. L. Stine's 1993 Goosebumps book, identical twins Lindy and Kris Powell share almost everything, until Lindy finds a ventriloquist's dummy in a dumpster, names it Slappy and becomes a neighborhood star. Jealous, Kris gets a dummy of her own, Mr. Wood, and the rivalry between the sisters sharpens. Soon strange things start happening: Mr. Wood turns up where he should not be, and the twins blame each other, until the school's spring concert suggests something far more sinister is at work.
