Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, Self-Help
Not Afraid (2015) is writer, martial artist and podcaster Daniele Bolelli's memoir about facing fear. It tells the story of his courtship and marriage, and of the five months in 2011 in which his wife, Elizabeth, died of a brain tumor. In quick succession Bolelli also lost his house and his job, and was left to raise their 19-month-old daughter alone. He describes coping with grief through more than two decades of martial arts practice, including cage fighting, writing in a light-hearted style about heavy subjects.
