Oblivion: Stories
Categories: Literature & Fiction
Oblivion (2004) was the last story collection David Foster Wallace published. Its eight pieces include Mister Squishy, about a focus group for a snack cake, and The Soul Is Not a Smithy, about a boy's daydreams during his teacher's breakdown. Good Old Neon is narrated by a man who has always felt like a fraud. The title story turns on a quarrel over a husband's snoring, and The Suffering Channel follows a magazine profile of a strange artist.
