Old Flames

By Jack Ketchum

Categories: Literature & Fiction

Old Flames is a 2008 horror collection by Jack Ketchum, a Bram Stoker Award-winning author of The Girl Next Door. It pairs the title novella with a second novella, Joyride. In Old Flames, Dora Welles, lonely and approaching middle age, reconnects with Jimmy, a high school boyfriend who never knew how obsessed with him she remained. As Dora inserts herself into his life and marriage, her fixation becomes dangerous. Ketchum treats her obsession as psychological horror.
