On Beyond Zebra!

In Dr. Seuss's 1955 rhyming picture book, the narrator's friend Conrad Cornelius o'Donald o'Dell believes the alphabet ends at Z and that he knows every letter there is. The narrator shows him twenty further letters beyond Z, from Yuzz and Wum to Floob and Hi!, each paired with an outlandish creature it spells. In 2021 Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced it would stop publishing the book, saying it portrays people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.
