Our Hidden Conversations: What Americans Really Think About Race and Identity
Categories: History, Politics & Social Sciences
In Our Hidden Conversations (2024), journalist Michele Norris draws on her Race Card Project, which since 2010 has invited Americans to sum up their thoughts on race and identity in six words. From the hundreds of thousands of submissions, Norris selects stories and follows up with the people who wrote them, producing frank portraits of how Americans of many backgrounds experience race, family, belonging and change.
