Panic: The Story of Modern Financial Insanity
Categories: Business & Money, History
Panic: The Story of Modern Financial Insanity (2008), edited by Michael Lewis, is an anthology of writing about financial crises. It collects contemporary reporting and commentary on four episodes: the 1987 stock market crash, the 1997–1998 Asian and Russian crises and the fall of Long-Term Capital Management, the dot-com bust of 2000 and the subprime mortgage collapse. Lewis introduces each section, showing how the experts of the moment understood events as they happened.
