Poet Warrior (2021) is a memoir by Joy Harjo, a Muscogee poet and musician who served as U.S. poet laureate from 2019 to 2022, following her earlier memoir Crazy Brave. Harjo recalls her family, her mother's struggles, her early years as a young mother and her growth as a poet, mixing prose with poems and songs. She writes about the history and land of the Muscogee people and the ancestors and teachers who guided her.
