Powerful Prayers is a 1998 book by the broadcaster Larry King, written with Rabbi Irwin Katsof, in which King, who described himself as an agnostic, asks well-known people about faith, prayer and the role of the spirit in their lives. Drawing on conversations with celebrities, politicians, athletes and religious leaders, the book collects their reflections on how they pray, what they pray for, moments when they felt their prayers were answered, and how belief has shaped them through times of crisis, loss and success.
