Propaganda (1928) is a book by public relations counsel Edward L. Bernays on the techniques of shaping public opinion. Bernays argues that the conscious manipulation of the habits and opinions of the masses is an important part of democratic society, carried out by an invisible government of experts. He describes how public relations can be used in business, politics, education, social causes and the arts.
