Psmith, Journalist (1915) takes Psmith and Mike Jackson to New York, where Mike is touring with a cricket team. Psmith meets Billy Windsor, the frustrated subeditor of Cosy Moments, a sleepy family weekly whose editor is away. Together they turn the paper into a crusading campaign against the hidden owner of a block of slum tenements, and soon find themselves facing hired gangsters, corrupt police and the political interests behind them.

- Fareed Zakaria: “P. G. Wodehouse. I’ve read almost everything he wrote. He once explained that there were two ways of writing novels. “One is mine, making the thing a sort of musical comedy without music, ignoring real life altogether; the other is going right down deep into life and not caring a damn.” He did the former better than almost anyone.”
