Pushing Up People is a 1985 book by Art Williams, a former high school football coach who founded the insurance firm A.L. Williams & Associates, later Primerica Financial Services. Its subtitle calls it the secret behind one of the most exciting success stories in business. Williams explains the beliefs behind his company's growth: treating people with respect, building them up and giving ordinary people the chance to own a business. He also sets out his crusade to 'buy term and invest the difference' in place of costly whole-life insurance.
