Scars and Stripes: An Unapologetically American Story of Fighting the Taliban, UFC Warriors, and Myself

Scars and Stripes (2022, Atria), written with Nick Palmisciano, is the memoir of Tim Kennedy, a Green Beret sniper and UFC headliner. Kennedy recounts being kicked out of the police department, the fire department and an EMT job, Special Forces training, combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, and hunting traffickers and poachers, alongside his main-event fights. He argues that failure, owned and learned from, is the scar tissue that earns a person's stripes, and closes many chapters with frank accounts of what he got wrong.

Joe Rogan: “Motivated by his audacity, resolve, and gutsiness, I have no doubt you'll begin living your life a little bit more like Tim after reading this.”
