Somewhere in Time
Categories: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Somewhere in Time is Richard Matheson's time-travel love story, first published in 1975 as Bid Time Return. Richard Collier, a screenwriter with a terminal illness, checks into the Hotel del Coronado and becomes fixated on a photograph of Elise McKenna, a stage actress who performed there in 1896. Convinced he can reach her, he tries to will himself back across eight decades, and the novel follows his attempt through his own journal.
