Stranger in a Strange Land
By Robert A. Heinlein
Categories: Literature & Fiction
Robert A. Heinlein's 1961 science fiction novel follows Valentine Michael Smith, a human born on Mars and raised by Martians after the first expedition there was lost. When a second expedition brings him to Earth as a young man, Smith knows nothing of human customs. A nurse, Jill Boardman, helps him escape government custody, and with the writer Jubal Harshaw he begins to study and question human ideas of religion, love, sex and power. This is the original uncut text, first published in 1991.
