The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient Hindu poem that forms part of the epic Mahabharata. On the eve of battle, the warrior Arjuna hesitates to fight, and his charioteer, the god Krishna, answers his doubts in a dialogue on war, duty and the spiritual nature of existence. This translation by Eknath Easwaran, an Indian-born spiritual teacher, was first published in 1985. It includes his general introduction and chapter introductions by Diana Morrison.
