The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine
Categories: Business & Money
In The Big Short (2010), Michael Lewis tells the story of the few investors who saw the subprime mortgage collapse coming and bet against it. Among them are Steve Eisman, a blunt money manager, Michael Burry, a one-eyed former doctor working alone in California, and the young founders of Cornwall Capital. Lewis explains credit default swaps and mortgage bonds through their eyes, and shows how Wall Street banks built and sold securities they did not understand.
