The Black Swan: Second Edition
Categories: Business & Money
Nassim Nicholas Taleb defines a black swan as a highly improbable event that is unpredictable, carries a massive impact and is explained after the fact as if it had been predictable. Such events, he argues, from the success of Google to 9/11, shape far more of history and of our lives than we admit. A former options trader, Taleb first published the book in 2007 as part of his Incerto series. This second edition adds a new section, On Robustness and Fragility.
