The Church of Dead Girls
Categories: Mystery, Thriller & Suspense
The Church of Dead Girls is a 1997 novel by Stephen Dobyns, a poet and author of the Charlie Bradshaw mysteries. It is set in a small town in upstate New York. When three teenage girls disappear one after another from the quiet town of Aurelius, fear and suspicion spread among the residents. The story is told by a reserved high school biology teacher who watches neighbors turn on each other as rumors grow. The book is more a study of a town's corruption than a typical thriller.
