The God Delusion
Categories: Religion & Spirituality
In this 2006 book, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins argues that a supernatural creator does not exist and that belief in a personal god is a delusion. Dawkins takes on the main arguments for God's existence and argues that morality can exist without religion, offering other explanations for the origins of both. He also examines how religion fuels war and bigotry and harms children, and he criticizes efforts to teach intelligent design alongside evolution.
