The Magic Finger
By Roald Dahl
Categories: Children's Books
The narrator of Roald Dahl's 1966 children's story is an eight-year-old girl who has a strange power. When she gets angry, a beam shoots from her finger and something unexpected happens to whoever upset her. Her neighbors, the Greggs, love to hunt, and when Mr. Gregg and his two sons come home with a deer they have killed and mock her, she loses her temper. She points her magic finger at the family, and by morning they have shrunk to the size of birds.
