The Magic Years: Scenes from a Rock-and-Roll Life
Categories: Arts & Photography, Biographies & Memoirs
The Magic Years (2021) is a memoir by Jonathan Taplin about his career in music and film in the 1960s and 1970s. Taplin recalls working as a tour manager for Bob Dylan and The Band, the folk and rock scenes of the era, and his move into film, where he produced Martin Scorsese's Mean Streets and The Last Waltz. He reflects on the idealism of those years and what was lost when the entertainment industry changed.
