The Odyssey
By Homer
Categories: Literature & Fiction
Homer's epic follows Odysseus on his ten-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War, as gods, monsters and storms keep him from his family. At home, his wife, Penelope, and their son, Telemachus, hold out against the suitors who have overrun the house and press her to remarry. This Penguin Classics edition is Robert Fagles's verse translation, with an introduction and notes by Bernard Knox.
