The Return of Tarzan

Having given up Jane at the end of the first book, Tarzan sails for Europe in The Return of Tarzan (1915). In France and North Africa he makes enemies of the Russian schemers Rokoff and Paulvitch and takes work as a secret agent. Back in Africa he becomes chief of the Waziri tribe and finds the ruined city of Opar, with its hoard of gold and its high priestess, La. Jane, meanwhile, faces dangers of her own.
